HOT FM Zambia has with immediate effect terminated the contract of its Chief Executive Officer, David Kazadi, following his recent arrest and ongoing police investigations into serious allegations.
In a statement issued by Hot Media Group Chairman Oscar Chavula, the station confirmed that Kazadi “no longer holds any role within Hot FM Zambia or its affiliated entities.”
The move, the company said, is aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the institution.
“While we uphold the principles of due process and the presumption of innocence, the nature of the allegations stands in direct conflict with Hot FM Zambia’s values as a trusted media institution,” Mr Chavula stated.
The station emphasized that the decision was made in line with its internal code of conduct and ethical standards.
An interim leadership team has since been appointed to ensure uninterrupted operations, with Hot FM assuring stakeholders that programming, partnerships, and all business activities remain unaffected.
“We are fully cooperating with the authorities and remain committed to supporting the legal process as it unfolds,” the statement read.
The company also thanked its listeners, partners, and clients for their continued support, promising to uphold ethical broadcasting and public accountability during the ongoing situation. ENDS
