THE free market and competitive environment promoted by Government must be supported as it promotes a fair delivery of goods and services to consumers, Seba Foods Zambia Limited managing director, Ram Vijayvargia, has said.
Mr Vijayvargia said Government’s free market and competitive environment necessitated innovation and improved delivery of high products and services.
He was speaking at the commemoration of Seba Zambia Limited 20th anniversary in Zambia held at Radisson Blue in Lusaka.
Mr Vijayvargia also said his company managed to thrive and expand while providing high quality products despite the challenging world economic climate.
“We are proud of our achievement but we are particularly encouraged by the keen interest and the enabling environment by the Government for companies such as Seba Foods to improve the quality of life of our fellow Zambians,” he said.
He said the 20th anniversary was a symbol of the many wonderful achievements that the company was proud to share with Zambians.
Mr Vijayvargia said the company had registered enormous growth, stemming from the increase in the company’s production capacity to the many evolutions from its brands, infrastructure and the investment.
He also announced that Seba Foods was recently granted an award to develop the soy value chain by building capacity at the smallholder farmer level in partnership with UK AID.
He explained that this development showed the big ambitions the company had.
