ZAMBIA’s Ambassador to Turkey, William Sikazwe, has projected an increase in trade and investment between the two countries following business – to- business (B2B) initiatives that have been put in place to facilitate interaction.

Dr Sikazwe said Zambia and Turkey stood to benefit immensely from the exchange of knowledge in agriculture, energy, construction, tourism, health and medical products, and mining technology, as well as import and export.
He was speaking when he officially opened the Zambia- Türkiye Business Forum in the capital, Ankara which was hosted by the Industry and Trade Confederation aimed at enhancing exports and imports between the two states.
He said President of Hakainde Hichilema had provided direction and leadership aimed at guiding the country towards economic stabilisation.
Dr Sikazwe said in following with the guidance by the Head of State, as well as the country’s foreign policy, the Zambian Mission in Ankara was focused on promoting trade and investment between Zambia and Turkiye.
“The Zambian government through the Republican President Mr Hakainde Hichilema has placed emphasis on promoting growth of the Zambian economy through the enhancement of trade and investment cooperation with other global players.
“The President of the Republic of Zambia has provided a direction and leadership in this regard aimed at guiding the country towards economic stabilization,” he said.
