‘HYPOCRITE’ NG’ANDU TOLD OFF
By SIMON MUNTEMABA
TRIPHER Ng’andu should desist from exhibiting hypocrisy by claiming that he left the Patriotic Front because the ideology of the party died with Michael Sata, when he left out of frustration after realising that his chances to be adopted were slim, PF deputy media director Edwin Lifwekelo has said.
Mr Lifwekelo said Mr Ng’andu was being economical with the truth because if he was genuinely not happy with the current PF leadership, he would have resigned way back before the party lost elections in August 2021.
Mr Ngándu is former PF Kabwata Constituency chairman.
Mr Lifwelelo was reacting to remarks by the Socialist Party candidate for the forthcoming Kabwata Parliamentary by-election who claimed that he decided to leave PF because the leadership abandoned the pro-poor ideology of Mr Sata.
In an interview Mr Lifwekelo said contrary to the claim, Mr Ng’andu who wanted to contest the Kabwata by-election on the PF ticket realised that he was not as popular as Mr Clement Tembo on the ground and decided to try his luck in the Socialist Party.
He also charged that Mr Ng’andu betrayed PF because he was part and parcel of the party until it lost the August 12 election.
