THE country has in the last 24 hours recorded 3,907 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, reflecting a positivity rate of 33 percent, according to the Ministry of Health.
According the update, Zambia has now a total of 21,087 active cases with 282 admitted to hospital, while 20,805 are under community management.
Copperbelt Province has the highest number of cases at 909 followed by Lusaka Province with 711.
The Ministry also said the country has recorded 100 new admissions, 109 on oxygen while 15 are in critical condition. Seven deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of deaths to 3,716.
The country also recorded a total of 868 recoveries from both the Covid facilities and home management, bringing the cumulative number of recoveries to 213, 580 representing a 90 percent recovery rate.
