Directed to Mr Chishimba
Editor,
Mr Chishimba must tone down in calling for the dismissal of Bowman Lusambo. He must first know that Bowman is our leader on the Copperbelt Province, hence being the man of the moment. Bowman is the man who is bringing sanity on the Copperbelt and in most cases, such people are hated by those who venture into illegalities and criminalities. Let Bowman clean the stinky corruption on land allocation. Please, be informed that when you were in authority, no one called for your dismissal. Who can agree with the idea of encroaching onto land around Levy Mwanawasa stadium and other titled properties? It is unacceptable!

Is our Govt a dictatorship?
Editor,
The following are some of the features of a dictatorship: people have little or no say on the affairs of the nation/ country. Human rights are not respected. The State uses the police to spy on people who hold different views. There is little or no freedom of expression. The government controls the media and no holding of elections. If some or all of the features above are available in our nation, then we are or heading towards a dictatorship.

Church and politics
Editor,
I would like to advise church leaders that their role is to preach the gospel and not to become political. Jesus commanded Christians to do that not to go into politics. Your followers will get lost because the Bible says, follow Jesus’ example and not HH’s, Telesphore Mpundu and John Mambo are doing. Why are they not able to wait for the courts to try him just like any other person as we are equal in God’s eyes? Be realistic and patient.

Install security cameras in strategic places
Editor,
The Government and parastatals such as ZESCO should consider installing security cameras in strategic places such as court premises and other places. Catching these saboteurs may be tricky especially if they are politically motivated. It may be an expensive venture but I think it is time such technology was applied.

Tension only between two political parties
Editor,
Zambia is not experiencing any kind of tension politically but economically. The only political tension in Zambia is between two rival political parties, namely: PF and UPND who cannot shake hands when they meet but instead exchange bitter words while citizens are carrying on with their businesses normally. The UPND does not accept defeat hence tension between the two parties. The opposition is too bitter towards the party in Government. They have a lot of court issues pending.

Lumumba Road a death trap
Editor,
I just wanted to find out from RDA how soon they are moving on Lumumba Road because this road is a death trap. It has truly outlived its usefulness. The gravel that RDA put on its surface has actually worsened the situation because it raises a lot of dust which interferes with visibility and motorists cannot negotiate properly to avoid the craters on this road.

Arrest those saboteurs
Editor,
Those behind the bringing down of ZESCO pylons in Kafue are enemies of Zambia and do not deserve any mercy once caught. They may run but cannot forever hide. The laws of nature are quite clear on this. Soon the long arm of the law will catch up with them. But as for me it is easier to guess who may be behind that action. There are far too many political insects out there ready to do harm for their masters.

Complaint to Barclays Bank
Editor,
Kindly help me bring to the attention of whoever is in charge of reversals at Barclays Bank. I bought ZESCO units through my mobile banking platform on 21st June, 2017. Unfortunately, the units were not sent but a deduction was made on my account. The following day, I called their call center and was given a reference no. 6049638. I called back on 27th June, 2017 to find out why it was taking so long to do a reversal. The answer I got was that they were still investigating. Surely, how long does an investigation take?
