I DO not want to be the only success story in my constituency, that is why I will not allow parents to marry off their children at a tender age, Kalulushi Member of Parliament, Kampamba Mulenga, has said.
Ms Mulenga said that it was not right for parents to allow their children to marry when they were still young and had not yet achieved their dreams in life.
She said that she would make sure that all parents and guidelines in her constituency did not marry off their children at a tender age.
She was speaking when she commissioned a three-by-two classroom block at Mwambashi area in Kalulushi.
Ms Mulenga said that through her Government, the people of Mwambashi had finally been provided with an administration block and a 3×2 classroom block and there was need to fully utilize the education that was brought to them.
“The people of Mwambashi have finally been provided with an administration and a three by two block because I believe that through education there will be a lot of people that are going to be successful in life,” she said.
Ms Mulenga said that she was going to ensure that the people in her constituency were given an equal platform in the educational sector.
She said it would be helpful to produce a lot of professionals from her constituency as she did not want to be the only success story there was.
