ZAMBIA has recorded 21 Covid-19 deaths countrywide in the last 24 hours.Seventeen have been directly classified as Covid-19 deaths, while four are associate deaths.In a statement to ZNBC, Health Minister Jonas Chanda has also noted a reduction in the daily rate of positive Covid-19 cases in the country from an average of 18 percent in the previous week to about 10 percent.Dr Chanda has however called on the people not to drop their guard, but still be on high alert.He said Zambia has recorded 809 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours from 7, 517 tests conducted.Dr Chanda said this brings the cumulative number of cases recorded to 46,146 in the country. He has applauded the frontline workers for their hard work in containing the pressure that has come with the pandemic and thanked Zambia’s cooperating partners and NGOs for the support to the government.
