By GRACE CHAILE THE Court of Appeal has granted former First Lady Esther Lungu’s application to halt the forfeiture of her 15 double-storey flats, allegedly valued at over K66 million, pending the determination of her appeal. In a ruling dated March 19, 2025, Justice Yvonne Chembe found merit in Ms Lungu’s application for a stay of execution of the judgment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Division,High Court. The judgment, dated September 27, 2024, is stayed until the appeal is determined.
