BY BARNABAS ZULU THABO Kawana has come to the defence of former Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Professor Christopher Simoonga, who was recently fired by President Hakainde Hichilema, stating that he did not engage in any corrupt activities. Prof Simoonga was involved in a scandal in which he allegedly awarded a $6.8 million contract to his firm, Chreso University, where he is said to have once served as Vice Chancellor.
