By GRACE CHAILE ZAMTEL has filed a writ of possession for Bowman Lusambo’s Ndola home after the former Lusaka Province Minister failed to pay over K500, 000 in rent. The Lusaka High Court ordered Lusambo’s eviction and recovery of the property on July 29, 2024, along with K590, 000 in rental arrears plus interest. Lusambo, currently serving a four-year sentence for corruption, claimed he spent K2 million renovating the property under a verbal agreement with then ZAMTEL’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mupanga Mwanakatwe. However, ZAMTEL rejected his request to deduct renovations from the rent or purchase the house. The court ruled in favour of ZAMTEL, granting possession of the property, House No. 68 Kabelenga Road, Ndola.
