By SIMON MUNTEMBAPRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged Zambians to refuse to fall into the trap of cynicism, tribalism and regionalism used by those who wish to pit one tribe against another.And President Lungu has expressed concern at the wanton misinformation, particularly, on social media platforms meant to incite citizens to rise against the government.Mr Lungu said this yesterday at Mongu’s Trades Institute during the official launch of the PF Western Province conference.He urged Zambians to adopt a nationalistic approach that sees the nation first before the tribe, and that which pursues the benefits of society above self-interests because Zambia was “bigger than anyone of us.”The President said in the concerted efforts to take Zambia to glorious heights, people should not allow the lies, fear mongering, and divisive words of prophets of doom to poison their minds, weaken their patriotism, and bring havoc to the nation.“I, therefore, urge you all to refuse to fall into the […]
