By MICHAEL MIYOBAGREEN Eagles progressed to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round after coming from behind to beat Musongati FC 2-1 win in yesterday’s return leg fixture at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.Liniker Mwikisa and Joseph Kanema scored the crucial two goals as Aggrey Chiyangi’s boys progressed 4-3 on aggregate having held Musangati to a 2-2 stalemate in Burundi exactly a week ago.Mwikisa leveled the scores in the 39th minute after Eric Ndiyeze’s stunning free kick which had given the visitors the lead in the early stages of the game.Eagles then went ahead in the 52nd minute through Kanema who scored with a header as Eagles went on to win to join Nkana and NAPSA Stars who have also secured slots in the second round of the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively.Meanwhile, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has congratulated the CAF envoys for qualifying to the next round of […]
