BATUKE Imenda, the UPND secretary general has been one of the advocates for the secession of Western Province from the rest of Zambia and has remained a signatory to the resolutions which were passed in 2012 for the province to secede.In 2012, Mr Imenda was among the people who attended the Barotseland National Council held in Limulunga in Mongu at which it was resolved that the Barotse government should have immediately engaged the Zambian government with the sole purpose of working out transitional arrangements towards self-determination.
