By JACKSON MAPAPAYIA 23-YEAR-OLD man of Katandano in Solwezi has died after being burnt as he was decanting petrol from a container.North-Western Province Commissioner of Police, Elias Chushi, who identified the victim as Hastings Kawanga.He said the incident happened on Friday around 19:00 hours in Katandano area in a shop when the victim was decanting petrol from a container. “Unfortunately, his friend by the name of James Chikanta lit a candle and suddenly a huge flame engulfed the man,” Mr Chushi said.Mr Chushi said the friend managed to escaped but Kawanga could not and sustained multiple burns and was later taken to Solwezi Heneral Hospital where he was admitted.“But, he later died on Sunday afternoon from the wounds,” he said.
