By JACKSON MAPAPAYITHE Patriotic Front (PF) in North-Western Province has rubbished allegations by the United Party for National Development (UPND) that it is buying off councillors that are resigning.This follows allegations by the UPND that the ruling party is inducing by elections by-buying ofdf opposition ward councillors.Recently, the UPND provincial information and publicity secretary Emmanuel Samapimbi accused the ruling party of buying the Kamakechi councillor who resigned last week.“As a party we have noted with sadness the recklessness by the PF for wasting resources by creating unnecessary by elections,” he claimed.Mr Samapimbi charged that the PF was out to create an impression that it was popular in North-Western when in fact not.But PF provincial youth chairman, Aminon Hara, dismissed the allegations as baseless and hold no water.He said at no time had the party bought any councillor but that the civic leaders had been resigning from UPND on their own.“If at all we are buying […]
