GOVERNMENT has threatened to repossess any structure belonging to any foreign nationals that has been built near any military installations.Lands and Natural Resources Minister Elijah Muchima has said Government does not want military installations such as ZAF base in Livingstone to be surrounded by structures belonging to foreigners.Mr Muchima said that this has potential to compromise national security.He was speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Livingstone Mayor Constance Mauleabai at her office.Mr Muchima said giving land to foreigners near military installations cannot be allowed.In view of that, the minister has asked the Livingstone City Council to check if the local authority had given land to foreigners near military installations such as ZAF.He has pleaded with the local authorities in the country to be mindful when issuing land to people.Mr Muchima has also raised concerns over the mushrooming number of filling stations in residential areas.He has wondered whether the number of vehicles has increased […]
