THE PF Central Committee has made a decision to reopen the presidential nominations to accommodateothers who are still interested in contesting the presidency but did not meet the earlier deadline.The committee encouraged youths and women prospective candidates to participate during the windowwhich will be opened by the Acting Secretary General, Nixon Chilangwa.PF chairperson of Information and Publicity, Rapheal Nakacinda said the resolution was made at Centralcommittee meeting held in Lusaka on Saturday.“The Secretariat has been tasked with re-opening and providing a process for other persons that maystill be interested in contesting the party presidency but couldn’t meet the earlier deadline,” he said.He said the meeting also resolved some of the contentious issues regarding the preparations leading tothe Extra-Ordinary General Conference scheduled for March 2023 to elect a new party president.
