By NATION REPORTERTHE National Democratic Congress (NDC) has written to the International Community over the deteriorating state of Zambians democracy and institutional violence under the governing United Party for National Development (UPND).In a letter to the Russia Republic, the United States of America (USA), China, Britain and European Union (EU), NDC secretary general Charles Kabwita said after 58 years of Zambia’s independence and peace, Zambia was slipping into political doldrums undemocratic tendencies.He said the UPND government was so far proving to be a danger to the peace and harmony that Zambia had enjoyed from 1964.Mr Kabwita said all well-meaning Zambians and cooperating partners should get interested in what was happening and possibly help to find a timely lasting solution for the country’s shrinking democratic space.In his letter, Mr Kabwita tabulated acts by the UPND government that had been etching Zambia’s democratic norms which included among many others the leaked audio of the Home Affairs Permanent […]
