By NATION REPORTERTHAT the Zambia Police Service did not know the abduction of 13 girls including Pamela Chisumpa is a revelation of a disturbing level of dysfunction and absence of basic professional and family order, Laura Miti has observed.Ms Miti, a member of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) said the disappearance of the 13 girls, with nine from the same school had exposed how the country’s systems have broken down.She is shocked that 13 girls were abducted and kept hostage for months on end yet the general public was blissfully unaware of the absence of the girls both from their school and the police.In her facebook posting, Ms Miti said it was shocking that even some of the parents and guardians to some of the girls who were abducted could not notice the disappearance of their children until after the girls were rescued by neighbours in a house in Lusaka’s Chalala area.Ms Miti wondered how […]
