By SANFROSSA MANYINDAA UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) member on the Copperbelt has accused the party leadership of abandoning losing candidates in the August 2021 general election.Pethias Mwelwa, a losing candidate for Musonda Ward in Kwacha Constituency, said the party had showed no interest working with the losing candidates.Mr Mwelwa complained to the Daily Nation in an interview that the party had nothing to do with them after losing at different levels.“The party leadership not even at provincial level approached us, as loosing candidates to comfort us or congratulate us for the efforts we made.“Some of us risked and lost our jobs in the mines because we supported and belonged the UPND but all this is not important to them,” he complained.
