By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSAATTORNEY General Mulilo Kabesha has submitted that indeed the Solicitor General met former Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Liquidator Milingo Lungu to amicably engage the petitioner for the purpose of him to relinquish his position as provisional liquidator.And the State has cross petition demanding that the Constitutional Court declares illegal the purported immunity dated March 22, 2022, granted to Mr Lungu as it is against public interest and an abuse of the court process.It also wants the said immunity agreement declared unconstitutional and the hearing of the petition expedited.Mr Kabesha said through an affidavit denied that the state agents bargained for the granting of criminal immunity to the petitioner or dropping the criminal charges against Mr Lungu.The Attorney General who was responding to a petition in the Constitutional Court by former KCM Provisional Liquidator who had petitioned him including the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Administrator General and investigating officer Boyd Munalula.He said that […]
