By Juliet Makwama Concerted efforts aimed at reducing activities that re-damage wetlands as these are sensitive areas to the preservation of surface and ground water are needed, the Civil Society Organization Environmental Hub has said.Hub Communications officer, Stephen Phiri, says protecting the wetlands in Zambia is important so that future generations do not suffer the repercussions of the mistakes of today.Mr Phiri says there is need to work together in creating awareness and more advocacy on the protection of wetlands in the country.Mr Phiri says it is important to work together in protecting the wetlands and not disturb the eco-system around these areas.
