By SIMON MUNTEMBAIT IS government intention to see that all land wrangles are expeditiously dealt with to ensure peace and unity reigns in various chiefdoms in Zambia, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Elijah Muchima has said.Mr Muchima said President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration wanted traditional land wrangles destroying Zambia’s cultural identity and peace to come to an end without further delay.Mr Muchima said this yesterday at a meeting held at Chieftaincy Mungule’s Palace at which Government and the Mungule Royal Establishment resolved to end the long standing land dispute in the former Kamaila forest No. 49 of Chibombo District.According to the ministry’s public relations officer, Diniwe Zulu, Mr Muchima who was accompanied by Central Province Minister Credo Najuwa, said land disputes hamper development hence the need to resolve them fast so that people can lead normal lives.He said government wanted to see all land wrangles expeditiously dealt with to ensure peace and unity reigns in various […]
