By SANFROSSA MANYINDAAFEASIBILITY study on commercial rice production in Munikashi area of Senior Chief Kopa’s Chiefdom will be done this year, Kanchibiya Member of Parliment Sunday Chanda has said. Mr Chanda said the area which was potentially viable for commercial rice production could compete well with other commercial rice products.He said that this would also lead to setting up of a rice factory in Munikashi for value addition and job creation especially for the youth.“We are engaging cooperating partners to partner with the constituency in conducting this feasibility study.“We will also need partners to help us in linking the area to potential investors locally and internationally,” he said.Mr Chanda said he would be writing to line ministries to invite them for a tour of the constituency’s potential industries in the course of 2022 where Munikashi would be one of them.He said he would as Member of Parliament, continue engaging the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development […]
