BY MICHAEL MIYOBAIN a quest to strengthen their squad following the release of Kenyan international Jesse Were and Zimbabwean international Tafazdwa Rusike, Zesco United have lined up Kabwe Warriors midfielder Prince Mumba as one of their transfer targets. According to sources at Zesco United, the young Chipolopolo midfielder is deemed as a perfect replacement for Rusike whose contract was not renewed.Zesco United have also confirmed the signing of Angolan striker, Pedro Miguel from Eden University National Division One side, Trident Football Club.Miguel has penned a two-year contract agreement with the Super League defending champions subject to completing medicals said the club’s club Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale.And after leaving Zesco United after five successful seasons, Were has joined Kansanshi Dynamos on a free transfer.
