By JOHN KOMBEMANY teachers are tired and demotivated by the many ills that they continue to face in their work and are now turning to God for supernatural intervention, a teachers’ pressure group, Teachers National Revolutionary Movement (TEREMO) has said.In an interview, TEREMO national coordinator, Steward Bwembya observed that the teachers have been disappointed with the teachers’ unions which have failed to represent their plight.Mr Bwembya said teachers’ unions were not doing enough to ensure that pertinent issues such as automatic salary upgrades for teachers who upgrade their qualifications were facilitated.He said that the movement has continued to call for the seven teacher unions’ amalgamation to form one strong voice, but this has failed.Mr Bwembya said the movement would continue to pursue its agenda using available constitutional means and that as a pressure group, they will not abrogate the law, but will seek amicable ways of airing their grievances.Mr. Bwembya, who teaches at Lamba Day […]
