By NOEL IYOMBWATHE Dairy Association of Zambia (DAZ) has partnered with Government to regulate importation of dairy products.The partnership with Government is aimed at monitoring and regulating the imports of milk products.After a meeting with Fisheries and Livestock Minister, Makozo Chikote and the Permanent Secretary, it was resolved that the DAZ would be present whenever the imports technical committee convenes to consider applications for importing dairy products.Recently, DAZengaged Government not to allow the importation of 50 tonnes of milk powder from Uganda on suspicion that the commodity did not meet the required standards and was also rejected by Kenya on the same grounds.
