By JOHN KOMBERUFUNSA district has so far recorded 2,020 cumulative cases of positive Covid-19, cases Rufunsa District Health Director (DHD), Angel Mubanga has said.Dr. Mubanga made the observation during the District Epidemic Preparedness, Prevention, Response, Control and Management meeting held in the Council Chamber on Saturday. He also disclosed that the district had so far recorded 48 Covid-19 positive cases during the fourth wave and called for enhanced sensitization on the dangers of the pandemic and a need for people to adhere to the preventive measures which included being vaccinated against the pandemic.He also disclosed that the district health team had targeted to vaccinate 10,189 people, but had only managed to vaccinate about 5,738 during the period under review.He further revealed that the district currently had 16 active cases and had recorded a total of five deaths as of December 18 this year.Meanwhile, the district health director further disclosed that malaria cases were still on the increase in […]
