By SIMON MUNTEMBATHE Zambia Centre for Inter-party Dialogue (ZCID) has condemned the thuggery behaviour by UPND cadres at Chelstone Police Station in Lusaka on Wednesday who destroyed property and assaulted PF members.ZCID board chairperson, Jackson Silavwe said it was shocking that the cadres could gather courage without fear and begin to commit crime within the premises of an institution mandated to maintain law and order in the country.“We are concerned and would like to condemn that level of lawlessness in the strongest possible terms,” Mr Silavwe said.He warned that the unruly behaviour by political party supporters if not quickly curbed had the potential to turn the country into a war zone.Mr Silavwe urged the Zambia Police to investigate and ensure that everyone who was involved is brought to book swiftly.He said such actions were a red flag and must be dealt with immediately in order to prevent it from becoming a common trend in the […]
