By KALOBWE BWALYATHE increasing abrogation of traffic rules being witnessed on public roads should trigger law enforcers into swift action, Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu has said.Mr Mwiimbu said the government would not condone lawlessness on public roads to ensure citizens were protected.He urged law enforcers not to hesitate to bring perpetrators to book who would be found abrogating traffic rules.Mr Mwiimbu said he would ensure that sanity was restored on the public roads.He explained that the abolishing of check points did not imply that the State was giving a leeway for lawlessness on public roads.Mr Mwiimbu called on the police traffic unit working with other stakeholders such as the Road Transport and Safety Agency to continue policing public roads for the safety of the travelling general public.He urged the enforcers to enhance motorised traffic patrols, speed management and control of traffic at busy points and stop any motorists suspected to have […]
