By JOHN KOMNBETHE Teacher Revolutionary Movement (TEREMO) is happy that the government has heard their cries and has since moved in to engage the teachers’ unions on various matters of concern raised by the teachers.TEREMO national coordinator, Steward Bwembya disclosed that the government through the ministry of Labour met the unions and his organization to hear their concerns.He said that the meeting which was convened by the LabourCommissioner was very fruitful.He therefore thanked the government for hearing the cries of the teachers and said that government intervention in such matters was commendable as it helps to avert disruption of service delivery.Mr Bwembya assured the teachers countrywide that their grievances were being attended to but declined to disclose the full details of the meeting.“We do here by advice our teachers countrywide that the information will only be released with consultation from the Teaching Council of Zambia as guided during the stakeholders’ meeting,” he said.
