By ADRIAN MWANZAYOUTH and Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu has distanced himself from a list of UPND officials alleged to have been submitted for illegal allocation of plots in Kafue Park area of Kitwe by the Kitwe City Council (KCC).Mr Nkandu said he was shocked that his name was included on the list because he had never applied for any piece of land from the council.He said in an interview that it was evident that some people were just trying to malign him by indicating that he was using his position to acquire land illegally.Mr Nkandu challenged the Kitwe Town Clerk to ensure that they dealt with the matter as soon as possible because he was not part and parcel of that list.“I just want to challenge the Town Clerk to clear this mess before it goes out of proportion because I have never applied for any land anywhere,” he said.Mr Nkandu said that it was unfortunate that the people were spreading lies about […]
