By ADRIAN MWANZA THE move by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to probe the alleged US$11.5 million ambulance purchase in the ministry of Health is a welcome move which needs to be expedited, says the minister, Ms Sylvia Masebo.Ms Masebo said that there were a number of anomalies in the ministry and she hoped that the investigative wings would conduct their investigations in a professional mannerMs Masebo in an interview said that the ministry would be open to the ACC to conduct their investigations freely without any interference on the issue concerning the alleged over pricing of the 50 ambulance.ACC spokesperson Queen Chibwe said they were investigating the matter in which the ministry of Finance was alleged to have bought ambulances at an overpriced cost of US$288, 000 per ambulance.Ms Chibwe said investigations were underway in the purchase of the ambulances by the ministry of Finance in a contract with Savenda.
