POLICE INTENSIFY PROBE ON KABWATA MP’S DEATHBy SIMON MUNTEMBA POLICE in Lusaka have instituted investigations into the fatal road traffic accident which led to the death of UPND Kabwata Member of Parliament Levy Mukandawire, to establish what really happened.Mr Mkandawire, 60, died on November 18 around 12:45 hours, in a road traffic accident that happened at the gate of his house plot number 34 Chalata Road, Woodlands Extension.The ruling UPND through its deputy Secretary General, Getrude Imenda said it suspected foul play was involved in the death of Mr M’kandawire and demanded for thorough investigations to get to the bottom of the matter.But in a statement, Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the police had taken interest and intensified investigations to establish the facts behind Mr M’kandawire’s death.“Police has taken keen interest and intensified investigations into the fatal road traffic accident involving the Late Honourable Levy Mukandawire Member of Parliament for KabwataConstituency which occurred on 18th November,2021 at around 12:45 hours,” Mr Hamoonga said.Mr Hamoonga also announced that a 39-year-old Lusaka woman identified as Jane Mwale who was driving the BMW vehicle which killed the Kabwata MP, was in police […]
