By PETER SICHALITHE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) is investigating the reported fraudulent issuance of driving licences at Ridgeway Driver Examination Centre in Lusaka.It has warned that it would re-test all driving licence applicants who may be found wanting for not following procedure in obtaining driving licences.RTSA Head of Public Relations, Fred Mubanga, cautioned all officers to uphold the highest levels of integrity and warned those that will be found engaging in fraudulent activities would be prosecuted in line with the Anti-Corruption Act No.3 of 2012.He said RTSA was concerned with the increase in corrupt people impersonating RTSA officers to extort money from the public.Mr Mubanga says the investigations follows a story citing a “clique” aiding the fraudulent issuance of driving licences.He said RTSA may consider ordering re-tests for all driving licence applicants who may be found wanting for not following procedure in obtaining licences depending on the outcome of the investigation.Mr Mubanga said […]
