BY ADRIAN MWANZASENIOR Chief Mukuni of the Toka Leya people of Southern province has expressed disappointment with the office of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) after the state entered in a nolle prosequi in the matter involving his wife.Chief Mukuni in an interview said that he hoped for a retrial because it was not fair on the part of the accused.The chief was hoping for his wife and the other accused to be cleared instead of the discontinuation of the case through nolle prosequi.This was in the case in which Chief Mukuni’s wife Veronica and three others were accused of abducting Kalomo siblings Pheluna and Milton after they lost an earlier court matter over the sale of their farm to President Hakainde Hichilema. ‘’Personally I’m not happy with the NolleProsequi which the Director of Public Prosecutions has entered and it is not fair on the part of the accused,’’ he said.
