DISMISSED Sesheke police officer Shapa Wakunguma has been recalled by President Hakainde Hichilema and appointed him Aide -de-Camp.Wakunguma recently sued the Attorney General in the Lusaka High Court seeking an order and declaration that his purported retirement in public interest or national interest was premature, illegal and wrongful.In a statement of claim filed in the principal registry Wakunguma stated that on February 12, 2019, while driving to Sesheke Police Station he was flagged down by Minister of National Planning Alexander Chiteme who was in the company of Western Province deputy permanent secretary a Mr Bukali.Wakunguma said he was asked by Chiteme and the deputy permanent secretary to go to the scene of an incidence of alleged police brutality involving alleged Patriotic Front cadres at a council guesthouse.He said he proceeded to the council guesthouse where he found a number of individuals lying on the ground as they had been severely assaulted while teargas canisters had […]
