By PETER SICHALIZAMBIA Police Service should be cleaned up in a quest to remove all bad elements that are making it difficult for the service to operate effectively, the Zambia Jubilee Coalition (ZJC) has said.ZJC Secretary-General, Kwaela Mwanza, said the service was contaminated with bad elements, which should be weeded out without any delay.Recently, PF Secretary-General Davies Mwila also complained that the Police Service had been infiltrated as evidenced by its failure to act when the PF is attacked, citing the burning down of the Chawama constituency office in Lusaka.Mr Mwanza said there was need to flush out all partisan elements in the police to maintain the dignity and decorum of the service.He emphasised that the police service was an important institution for preservation of peace, rule of law and public order and should therefore not be compromised.“Revelations by the PF Secretary-General that our Police Service has been compromised makes sad reading and calls for […]
