By SANFROSSA MANYINDATHE Chililabombwe play park has been turned into a place for illicit activities, a situation that has angered the local authority.According to Chililabombwe Municipal Council Assistant Public Relations Manager, Evelyn Mulenga, the council officials found several used condoms and empty bottles of beer thrown around carelessly dumped.This was discovered during a routine cleaning of the Central Business District at the weekend.Ms Mulenga expressed disappointment at the continued use of the district’s public play park for illicit activities.She threatened that the local authority would consider closing the park if the trend continued.“We have noticed with dismay the use of the play park for erroneous activities such as alcohol abuse, sexual acts and indiscriminate disposal of waste by members of the public.“The play park, which is meant to be used as a recreational and social facility has unfortunately been turned into a place for illicit activities which is so unfortunate,” she said.Ms Mulenga further warned […]
