By NATION REPORTERTHIRTY-TWO people were killed in road traffic accidents during the just ended Heroes and Unity holiday of 2021 as well as the holiday extended during the national mourning.Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said 317 road traffic accidents occurred out of which 30 were fatal in which 32 people died.Additionally, 63 persons were seriously injured in 42 accidents while in 68 ‘slight’ road traffic accidents 110 persons were slightly injured.Ms Katongo said Lusaka Province recorded the highest number of road traffic accidents with 148 out of which six people died.She said Lusaka was followed by Copperbelt with 43 accidents in which one person died, Central with 36 accidents in which seven people died while Southern had 19 accidents with three deaths.Ms Katongo said Eastern Province recorded 16 traffic accidents in which three people died while North-Western had 13 accidents in which three people died.According to Ms Katongo, Muchinga recorded 13 accidents and three deaths, Luapula […]
