By AARON CHIYANZO in MansaPRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says he will send the Auditor General’s office to Mansa to investigate reports of corruption involving Covid-19 relief funds and other empowerment funds.President Lungu warned that he would take stern action against any civil servants who would be found wanting.This follows complaints by traditional leaders and the clergy during separate meetings with President Lungu of relief funds being abused by public officers.The public officers are alleged to have put their relatives and friends at the expense of targeted beneficiaries.President Lungu said he would not tolerate corruption among civil servants.“This reported nepotism is corruption, I will send the Auditor General here so that they can investigate this alleged abuse of funds.
