By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSATHE Constitutional Court has consolidated the two petitions by John Sangwa’s Legal Resources Foundation Limited and that of Sishuwa Sishuwa and Chapter One Foundation where they want the Court to invalidate President Edgar Lungu’s nomination to contest the August 12, 2021 election because he has allegedly twice been sworn into office. And Attorney General Likando Kalaluka has been joined to the matter as the second respondent while lawyer Lewis Mosho has applied to be joined as an interested party. When the matter came up for hearing yesterday, Ms Justice Mungeni Mulenga ruled that the court will hear the two petitions at the same time as they are seeking same reliefs. “As guidance to all the parties should be cited in these proceedings as follows, Legal Resources Foundation Limited, 1st petitioner, Sishuwa Sishuwa, 2nd petitioner. Chapter One Foundation limited, 3rd petitioner, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, 1st respondent and the Attorney General, 2nd respondent,” she ruled.SUBSCRIBE TO RED […]
