By STEPHEN MWEWAA charitable organisation, Sony, has allocated K610, 000 to 20 villages in Senior Chief Mwamba’s area in Kasama to support villagers build more classroom blocks in their communities.Among the institutions, Chafwa Day Secondary School has been allocated K50, 000, from the same amount.Chafwa Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA) chairman, Mubanga Chipoya, said that the other schools will receive different amounts out of the funding depending on the works required at each particular institution.Mr Chipoya, who is also Lukupa Senior village headman, said that the move would improve school infrastructure in the communities.He was happy that the Ministry of Education has partnered with Sony, which had bailed out schools in the rural community.Mr Chipoya urged all the benefiting communities to remain united and support the project by providing the up-front requirements such as building material.
