By MULENGA MUSONDAA farmer of Namwala district has appeared in the Choma Magistrates Court on allegations that he stole 6 herds of Cattle. In this matter, Fine Bubala is charged with one count of Stock Theft contrary to section 275 chapter 87 of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia.It is alleged that Bubala stole six herds of cattle valued at K30, 000 the property of Dennis Muwele. The alleged incident is said to have occurred on March 1, 2021 in Choma district of Southern Province. When he appeared for plea before Senior Resident Magistrate Peter Mungala, Bubala vehemently denied the charge against him compelling the Court to record a plea of not guilty.After pleading not guilty the matter was then adjourned to May 8, 2021 for commencement of trial. Bubala had his police bond extended.
