Luwombwa Ward councillor Evans Sabe told the Daily Nation in an interview that people in the area had never enjoyed clean and safe water supply. Mr. Sabe said the area was still backward regarding water reticulation system. He said residents only depended on water for consumption from the crocodile-infested Luwombwa river and streams that dried up in summer. “As residents of Luwombwa ward, we have a big challenge in accessing clean and safe water for use. The only source of water is the Luwombwa river, which is contaminated and streams that normally go dry at some point.
