Zesco secured their second round spot after humiliating Zanzibar champions JKU, 7-0 in the first round second leg fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday to advance by the same aggregate score line following a goalless draw in the first leg played on February 10 in Zanzibar. Zesco will travel to Ivory Coast next month to play ASEC Mimosa as both sides battle for a place in the 2018 CAF Champions’ League group stages. ASEC booked their March date against Zesco following a 3-2 home win on Wednesday in Abidjan over Benin side Buffles to advance 4-3 on aggregate.
