Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Ronald Chitotela said works would start once funds were released by the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) following a request from Road Development Agency (RDA) to undertake emergency works on the bridge. Mr Chitotela however said no contractor had been identified because the project would be done by RDA regional office in Southern Province and the time frame of the project upon start would be three months.
