By SANFROSSA MANYINDATHE Copperbelt Taxis and Bus Drivers Association (CTBDA) has reduced the number of passengers on the Chamboli route in a bid to fight against Covid-19.Association Secretary General, Sydney Chileshe, told the Daily Nation in an interview yesterday that the decision was arrived at after a meeting between the association executive and the drivers.Mr Chileshe said that the number of passengers had been reduced from 12 to seven per trip on Chamboli route and may be replicated on other routes depending on the response from members.He said that the changes would result in losses on drivers operating on the Chamboli route as it was one of the cheapest routes with fares being at K5.“I can confirm to you that bus drivers at Oxford Bus Station have decided to reduce the number of passengers on the Chamboli route from the current 10 to seven passengers,” he said.Mr Chileshe said that the association was supplementing Government’s […]
