Mon, 19 Feb 2018 10:32:12 +0000 By SIMON MUNTEMBA THERE is need for government to prioritise the vulnerable members of society, if Zambia is to develop the human development index, the Movement for National Transformation (MNT) founding president Daniel Shimunza has said. Mr Shimunza suggested that to prioritize the human development index, government should focus on an inclusive contextualised democratic development of the first world nation agenda which include prioritising the vulnerable members of its society. Mr Shimunza said his movement was concerned that the current government’s agenda was not prioritising the vulnerable members of society. Mr Shimunza, in a statement yesterday, indicated that development must prioritise human development. “MNT is concerned that the current government’s agenda, is not prioritising the vulnerable members of our society like; Youths, Women, street kids, patients, prisoners, and the aged. “The condition of helping such people, has only been done for political mileage without a consistent holistic policy direction.
